Video shows the moments that an airplane that overran the runway at Boca Raton Airport was safely stopped by a special system last week.

Four people were on board the private aircraft, a Bombardier Challenger 300, when it was caught on video coming to an abrupt stop after it overshot the runway on Wednesday.

According to the FlightAware tracking website , the jet landed at the airport at 5:10 p.m. after a four-hour flight from Las Vegas.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the airport's Engineered Materials Arresting System (EMAS) was deployed, helping the aircraft stop, according to NBC affiliate WPTV.
