RIMROCK, AZ (AZFamily) — A man faces multiple charges after pregnant woman was found seriously injured in Rimrock on Sunday afternoon.
Around 3 p.m., Yavapai County Sheriff deputies responded to the area of Top of the Morning Drive and Beaver Creek Road in Rimrock for reports of an injured pregnant woman lying in the road.
The 29-year-old woman is seriously hurt and had to be airlifted to a Phoenix-area hospital. She and her unborn child are expected to survive.
Witnesses initially told deputies that a white SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, was seen leaving the area.
Late Sunday night, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) said 30-year-old Jesus Junior Ruiz Hernandez had been arrested in connection to this incident. Hernandez faces hit and run, endangerment and disorderly conduct
