Two separate road resurfacing projects that will close traffic lanes are scheduled to start on Monday, Sept. 8, in Lapeer and Tuscola counties.
The Michigan Department of Transportation announced the construction -- from M-46 to Lodbell Road in Tuscola County, and from M-90 to Castle Road in Lapeer County -- is expected to continue through next week.
The project in Tuscola County, near Mayville, is budgeted to cost $650,000.
A first phase of the project was completed last year, MDOT said in a news release.
The resurfacing in Lapeer County, near the city of Lapeer, is expected to cost $550,000.
One lane of the state road will be closed at both construction sites with flaggers controlling traffic, according to MDOT.
