A woman who relocated to UK to Abu Dhabi is warning others 'not to be fooled' by the glamorous lifestyle portrayed by influencers, as she shares the reality of what it is really like living in the UAE.

Rachel Burns, 35, moved to Abu Dhabi, just a 45-minute journey from central Dubai, in 2021.

Despite the tax-free status, the endless stream of luxurious brunches, beach clubs and sunset cocktails showcased by influencers, living this lavish lifestyle can come with a hefty price tag that can be more expensive than the UK, Rachel warns.

Originally from Newcastle, radiographer Rachel revealed that her £12,700 rent is paid in six-month or yearly upfront payments.
