LAWRENCE — Kansas football’s winning streak to open the 2025 season came to an end Saturday with a 42-31 loss on the road against Missouri.
Although the Jayhawks (2-1) raced out to an early lead, they couldn’t hold off the Tigers (2-0). A 21-6 lead in the first quarter became a 21-21 tie at halftime. The two teams battled on from there, with Missouri pulling away late in the fourth quarter.
But what does that mean for KU as it moves forward this season? Is it still receiving votes in the latest update of the US LBM Coaches Poll ? As the Jayhawks move on to an open week for the program, it’s clear coach Lance Leipold and company have a lot of work to do to become a top 25 program this fall.
Kansas is still receiving votes — four — in the latest update of the coaches poll. Extending
