Flags representing Great Britain, Ireland and Lincolnshire have gone up around Lincoln – but no one seems to know where they have come from. England’s has seen a resurgence across the country in recent weeks.

However, it has been joined in by the Welsh dragon, the Scottish Saltire, the Northern Ireland Ulster Banner, the Irish Tricolour and the county of Lincolnshire’s own flag. They have gone up on lampposts around the city centre, including the High Street, Triton Road and South Park.

However, no authority has claimed responsibility for them. The and have both confirmed they haven’t had any involvement.

It’s unclear whether they’ve been put up by volunteers or another group.
