BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) - A man reported that someone tried to steal his car from the parking lot of a restaurant on U.S. Route 224 in Boardman.

Police were called just after 5:10 p.m. Saturday to the restaurant in the 1400 block of Route 224 after a man came out of a restaurant and saw someone inside his 2014 Dodge Charger.

The back rear window had been broken, and when the man ran up to the car yelling, "Mother F*****, I'll kick your a**," the person in the car got out of the driver's side door, tripping the car alarm and jumped in the back of a white SUV that took off.

The man noticed that the electronics under the steering wheel had been tampered with, and police found blood in the car, presumably from the suspect, which they gathered for evidence.
