TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/Gray Florida Capital Bureau) - Florida’s first-ever Hunting, Fishing and Camping Sales Tax Holiday began Monday.

The new tax holiday will give Floridians the chance to save money on outdoor gear, from tents and sleeping bags to rods, reels, bait and tackle. The holiday also covers certain items for hunters, including bows, crossbows and ammunition.

“We’re committed to helping Floridians keep more of their hard-earned money, and the Hunting, Fishing and Camping Sales Tax Holiday is one way to do that,” Gov. Ron DeSantis said. “Florida is a great state for outdoor adventure, and we’re working to keep it that way.”
