GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - The entire Dental Assisting graduating class of one Eastern Carolina community college passed the national exam this year.

Wayne Community College says all 18 of its July graduates passed the Dental Assisting National Board exam on the first try.

The exam consists of radiation health and safety, infection control, and general chair-side assistance.

“Our Dental Assisting students’ commitment to dental health and academic excellence is shown through this achievement, and these students are now prepared to serve their communities as Certified Dental Assistants,” said Dean of Allied Health and Public Services Janeil Marak.

The 2025 associate degree Nursing and Dental Hygiene graduates also earned a 100% pass rate on license exams.
