Recent wildfires across the province have left a trail of devastation, and as families and communities now face the long road to recovery, many are asking how they can help.

As the cleanup continues, the VOCM Cares Foundation has launched a campaign to support those affected by the fires.

Fund Development Manager for VOCM Cares, Jenelle Lambert, says the foundation has activated its Emergency Relief Fund in support of the Canadian Red Cross, and plans to match dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000.

Lambert says the organization has been helping communities for over 40 years, and says the fund has helped with flooding, fires and other natural disasters in the past.
