MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is searching for two men allegedly responsible for an attempted carjacking in Raleigh.

On September 4 at 8:55 p.m., MPD responded to an attempted carjacking at a Marathon gas station on Raleigh Millington Road.

According to police, the victim finished pumping gas into his vehicle when two unknown males approached him from the side.

A gun was pointed at him, and they demanded his car keys. The victim was able to fight off one of the males before getting in his vehicle and driving away.

One of the unknown males fired a shot at his vehicle as he left the scene. Both males then ran away from the gas station in separate directions.
