MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Former Memphis gynecologist Sanjeev Kumar has filed a motion to dismiss most of the counts against him.

The former Memphis gynecologist has been accused of performing illegal sex acts on women.

Last week, Kumar’s attorneys argued that the prosecution listed brands instead of exact products in its charges.

A motion that was filed Friday says the counts span several years and fail to specify acts, patients, or procedures corresponding to each count.

Kumar’s next appearance in court is October 14, as his trial date is set for December 1.
