ELDORADO, Ill. (WSIL) -- One person has been charged with murder in connection to a death investigation in Eldorado.

A representative with the Saline County State's Attorney's Office stated Jessie Trout, 25 of Eldorado, has been charged with murder in connection to a death investigation which happened in the early morning hours in Eldorado.

Illinois State Police said the incident happened at around 5:06 a.m. on September 7, 2025, at Benton Street and 1st Street in Eldorado.

Authorities have yet to release the identify of the victim, due to all family members not notified. The Saline County Coroner tells News 3 an autopsy has been scheduled.

Authorities have not released further details as the investigation remains active.
