NEBO, Ky. (WEVV) — A tragic single-vehicle collision occurred on September 8th at the intersection of Nebo Road and J.E. Ellis Road, resulting in the death of a local man.

Keith Daniels, 40, of Madisonville, was driving north on Nebo Road when his vehicle veered off the road, struck an embankment, and rolled several times, according to the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle came to rest on an electrical box used by the city of Nebo for its water pump. Daniels was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene by Hopkins County Coroner Dennis Mayfield.

Emergency response teams from Nebo and Manitou Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
