SPOKANE, Wash - Protesters accused of assaulting federal officers during a protest this summer won't stand trial until next year.
Former Spokane city council president Ben Stuckart and several others were arrested while protesting the detainment of several immigrants.
They're accused of blocking exits and preventing ICE agents from exiting the building on North Lincoln. The small protest grew to a crowd of hundreds, stretching from the ICE office down into Riverfront Park.
Several people involved in the protest have come forward,
The protesters are charged in federal court with conspiracy to impede or injure officers.
The trial was set for September 22nd, but the defendants asked for a motion to continue and the government did not object.
