The Chicago Bears will have a tough hill to climb against the Minnesota Vikings as the team’s inactive report has been released.
Cornerback Jaylon Johnson, who has been dealing with calf and groin injuries, was listed as questionable for the game, but won’t suit up for the Bears on Monday night.
His absence will leave the Bears to try to figure out how to cover Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who had 103 catches for 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns last season as he was named an All-Pro for the second time in his NFL career.
Johnson suffered a groin injury during preseason workouts and did not participate in training camp. He had been a limited participant in two of the team’s practices this week, but he won’t be on the field as the Bears kick off the regular season Monday night.
