Lethbridge first responders are helping save lives in a different way. They are partnering with Canadian Blood Services to launch Sirens for Life.

Starting this Monday and running through December, the community will be encouraged to donate plasma at the Lethbridge Donor Centre. The police chief says first responders are leading by example.

The national Sirens for Life campaign highlights the impact of every donation: 50 donors can help save one crash victim,130 plasma donations can provide one year of treatment for an immune deficiency patient, and five donors can support a heart surgery patient.
