The 49ers' injury bug has bitten quarterback Brock Purdy .

Coach Kyle Shanahan revealed Monday on a conference call with reporters that Purdy sustained a left shoulder injury and a toe injury in the 49ers' Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Lumen Field.

Shanahan indicated that Purdy's toe injury is worse than the shoulder injury.

Purdy's status for the 49ers' Week 2 road game against the New Orleans Saints is uncertain.

"We're not sure," Shanahan told reporters. "We've got to see how it heals and how the weeks goes on it."

Shanahan confirmed to reporters that Purdy sustained the shoulder injury at the end of the first half Sunday when he was driven into the turf on a pass attempt intended for wide receiver Ricky Pearsall.
