The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has launched the first of two task forces that will advise its Center for Health Care Affordability.
The 15-member task force is charged with studying and recommending actions to improve health care affordability throughout Minnesota. The heart of its work will be "identifying the key drivers of health care spending growth and developing bold, evidence-based policy options to improve affordability for Minnesotans," according to MDH.
The Minnesota Legislature directed MDH to establish the Center for Health Care Affordability (CHCA) during its 2023 session, in an effort to ensure that health care remains accessible.
