TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Two people were found dead in a murder-suicide at a home near Swan and Glenn in Tucson on Monday, Sept. 8.

The Pima County Attorney’s Office confirmed it was a murder-suicide involving a domestic violence suspect.

“It is with deep sadness that the Pima County Attorney’s Office shares tragic news we learned today,” the PCAO said in a release. “A defendant that our office was prosecuting for two felony cases regarding domestic violence strangulation is now reported to have killed the same victim and then killed himself.”

The PCAO said it tried to keep the suspect in jail, but the defendant requested and was granted release.
