Owen Sound delegations were “very well prepared and very well received” by provincial officials at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference last month, Coun. Melanie Middlebro’ told council Monday night.

The city’s delegation raised health care access and recruitment, isotope production, and marine industry support.

Delegates stressed particular needs of smaller, rural municipalities, including more and stable transit funding, housing affordability, fairness in municipal policing funding, and homelessness.
