TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A jury has finished deliberating in the murder trial of a man accused of shooting a restaurant owner outside of a Tyler taqueria.

Scotty Lee Goble, 54, of Frost, has been found guilty of killing Heriberto “Eddie” Ramirez in front of his family’s business. The punishment phase of his trial will begin on Tuesday.

We were in the courtroom on Monday evening when the verdict was read. The Ramirez family had a not-unexpected emotional reaction to the outcome.

Goble was accused in the shooting death of Ramirez in front of Junior’s Taqueria, which Ramirez owned, in October of last year.

The court began Monday with closing arguments after nearly two weeks of testimony.

The state argued there was no evidence that Ramirez exhibited deadly force that would have called for
