CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is coming to Cincinnati Tuesday to announce new partnerships aimed at reducing violent crime in the city.

This comes after the viral downtown brawl and other violent crimes sparked conversations about public safety.

Governor DeWine will join state and local officials Tuesday, where they plan to announce new partnerships on preventing violent crime.

The violent brawl downtown on July 26 sparked national attention. City leaders and residents have been outspoken ever since about the need for solutions for a safer city.

Governor DeWine commented on the violent brawl just days after it went viral. He offered state assistance as a possible solution.

“We have offered them help for the highway patrol to come in and have bigger presence,” he said.
