RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Raleigh Greenway Committee has reached a recommendation to bring to the Parks Board regarding the Big Branch Greenway project, after months of constant pushback from neighborhoods.

Out of the three options, the committee found the Anderson Forest streamside to be the best.

This route would run straight through the backyards in the Anderson Forest neighborhood, including Andrew Bennington's.

"I'm disappointed," Bennington said. "We've articulated enough a number of different reasons, from environmental to legal to practicality to safety."

The pathway would connect the Crabtree Creek Trail to Cedar Hills Park.
