RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is helping those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) find jobs.
Project Spark, a division of NC DHHS, hosted an employment resource fair at the Carolina Pines Community Center in Raleigh.
Taylor Alley was just one of dozens who attended with her mom Audra.
"I feel like kids who have disabilities and need a little bit more assistance to get them out there and let people know that they're here and they're willing to work," Alley said.
Those attending got the chance to meet with counselors and others who can assist with resources like independent living, healthcare and more.
