Champlain Valley, Mount Mansfield and Essex have lived up to expectations since I dropped the Varsity Insider high school girls soccer preseason power rankings nearly two weeks ago.

Through the first week-plus of the 2025 regular season, those three teams are a combined 8-1, with the one loss coming in CVU's overtime win at Essex. Their standing in the Week 1 rankings remain unchanged. But how did the rest of the top 10 shake out?
