During “Carolina Football Live,” the Tar Heels ’ weekly radio show hosted by play-by-play announcer Jones Angell at Top of the Hill Restaurant and Brewery in Chapel Hill, UNC general manager Michael Lombardi described “basic periods” as segments for “developing and growing younger players.”
