Geist runners hope to break Guinness World Record in a caterpillar suit

Expectations are high at this year’s Geist Half Marathon, where a new world record could be set on the 13.1 mile course around the tony Hamilton County lake.

Local race officials have been aware of the possibility for months and have worked with the possible record setters to handle any attendant hoopla. That the record in question would be for fastest time by a team in a four-person costume — in this case, a caterpillar suit — hasn’t dampened enthusiasm an inch.
