Now it’s time to get real.
By the time the dust settles sometime on this Tuesday night, Sept. 9, 2025, the field of candidates in key races across the state will have been winnowed down to the survivors who will face each other in this November’s general election.
You’ve probably already heard of the marquee race: The fight for Boston City Hall. There, Democratic incumbent Mayor Michelle Wu, who’s running for a second term, faces three opponents.
Her most significant one: Josh Kraft, the son of billionaire New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. It’s widely expected that the two Democratic hopefuls will face each other again
