Nineties pop icon Kavana has confessed he was handed a lifetime ban from ITV'S Loose Women after getting drunk in his dressing room and being found in the pub just minutes before he was due on air. The singer, who had a Top Ten hit in 1997 with his rendition of I Can Make You Feel Good, opens up on his struggles with alcoholism in his emotional new memoir Pop Scars.

The 47-years-old Brits star recounts the story of his ban from the show following his appearance in 2007 which he admits was one of several low points. Kavana, whose real name is Anthony Gerard Kavanagh, says he was so badly behaved, he was “escorted off the premises” before he carried on boozing.
