MEDINA COUNTY, Texas — The Medina County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your find tracking down a person leaving a hot trail near a school.

Officials shared video of that person setting a ditch on fire at the beginning of September on the Medina County Crime Stoppers Facebook page.

It was a big fire on along a major road in Dhanis right beside a railroad track. A fire like that can damage rail lines and easily spread due to the dryness of the area.

In the video, you can see the suspect setting the fire, then sprinting to his single-cab gray truck and driving off.

Deputies say this happened last Tuesday at 11:30 p.m.

The risk of having someone out like this is that they can start another fire that can be worse.
