JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Research is happening right here in Mississippi that has the potential to change some breast cancer treatment.
Dr. Eden Tanner and her research team at the University of Mississippi are exploring ways to more effectively deliver medicines in a targeted fashion.
“It looks at least as a proof of principle that we can use sugar to help the medicine go down,” described Tanner, assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry.
She was referencing their most recent published research, they’re focused on triple-negative breast cancer treatment.
