McDonald's is rolling out a brand new Sausage Sandwich nationwide from Wednesday (September 10). It follows what the firm says was a successful trial period across northern England.

The offering boasts a pork sausage patty – responsibly sourced from RSPCA assured farms – tucked within a soft bun, topped with melted cheddar cheese and accompanied by either ketchup or brown sauce of your choosing. Arriving on the Saver Menu, the Sausage Sandwich costs just £1.99, while customers can secure a meal deal including a selected drink for £2.99.
