Jonas Abrahamsen barely missed out on his third victory of the professional biking season when he finished second to Sandy Dujardin in Saturday’s Maryland Cycling Classic.

As disappointing as that result may have been, the Norwegian who races for Uno-X Mobility came away with a favorable impression of the event and Baltimore as a host city.

“It’s one of the hardest races this season, but I love to get pain in my legs. So it’s perfect,” he said. “And I love the atmosphere, and I love the people. And it’s a very cool course with cobbles and hills and everything from the rain and the sun. It was very nice.”
