SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A man was arrested for fraud and other charges after South Windsor police said he stole thousands from a victim in a scheme.

Jeffrey Coleman, 22, of Hartford, was charged with third-degree larceny, third-degree telephone fraud, and third-degree identity theft.

Coleman was arrested on Monday.

According to South Windsor police, the charges came from an April 2025 investigation.

They said Coleman contacted the victim and withdrew $3,000 from the victim’s American Eagle Federal Credit Union bank accounts.

Police said the withdrawals were made at bank locations in Bloomfield and East Hartford.

They determined that Coleman texted the victim and convicted him that his bank accounts were compromised.

Coleman turned himself in to South Windsor police.
