ATLANTA — FBI Atlanta agents collected 13 pounds of fentanyl during an arrest at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
According to the FBI Atlanta, agents partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to track down the suspect who was flying into the airport.
Once the suspect touched down in the city, they were arrested, and the fentanyl was recovered from their luggage. Agents stated the amount of fentanyl recovered was enough to kill 7 million people.
This case is part of a larger DEA investigation that led to two other arrests and the recovery of about 31 pounds of fentanyl.
Information about the suspect was not immediately available.
