Boston Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a Dorchester shooting.

On Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, police officers responded to a report of a shooting near 326 Harvard St. around 4:24 p.m.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and received treatment from police and emergency personnel before being transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, police say.

The alleged shooter fled the scene on a scooter or moped towards Harvard Street toward Morton Street and then Walk Hill Street, according to police.

The suspect was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and possibly a helmet, says police.

The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
