MILWAUKEE (WKOW) — David Crowley officially launched his campaign for governor on Tuesday.

The Milwaukee County Executive had been eyeing the race ever since current Democratic Gov. Tony Evers announced in July that he won't be seeking reelection.

Crowley, a lifelong Milwaukee resident, is the first Black leader elected to serve as Milwaukee County executive. He's also the youngest to serve in that role, according to information on the county website.

Crowley and Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez are the first Democrats to enter what will likely be a crowded Democratic primary.
