ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Monroe County Executive Adam Bello is accusing a Rochester City Court Judge of acting like a "de facto criminal defense attorney."

In a letter sent out last week to the NYS Commission of Judicial Misconduct, Bello is accusing Judge Michael C. Lopez of failing to uphold and promote public confidence in the "integrity and impartiality of the judiciary."

Bello cites one case where a man named Jeremiah Black was arrested last August. Among the charges he faced was criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. He says bail was set in the case ($3,000 in cash, $6,000 in insurance company bail bond, and $25,000 in partially secured surety bond).
