DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — Detectives from the Daviess County Sheriff's Office say they arrested a woman following a drug lab bust on September 5.

Authorities say they executed a search warrant at a residence on Frayser Avenue in Owensboro, uncovering a drug trafficking operation.

Items found during the search included baggies, scales, a loaded handgun, large containers of raw chemicals, suspected mushrooms, and over 10 pounds of synthetic marijuana, the sheriff's office said.

DCSO says the presence of chemicals suggested drug manufacturing on-site, posing a hazard to residents and neighbors. The sheriff's office says children were living in the home.
