HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — A maintenance project set to begin on the southbound Twin Bridge has been delayed.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials originally said the project would begin on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

According to KYTC, the project is now set to begin on Wednesday.

Crews plan to be on the bridge daily from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. once work begins. During that time, the southbound bridge will be restricted to one lane of traffic. KYTC says there is no plan to alter traffic on the northbound bridge at this time.

The project consists primarily of repairs to issues found during a specialized T-1 steel inspection conducted in late 2024.

The project is set to last through Oct. 18.
