Pittsburgh-based PNC Financial Services Group announced Monday it will acquire FirstBank, significantly expanding PNC’s presence in Arizona.

Colorado-based FirstBank has 95 total branches, with 13 offices in Arizona, according to data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The $4.1 billion acquisition is expected to close in early 2026.

Demchak, chairman and chief executive officer of PNC, said in a statement. "Its deep retail deposit base, unrivaled branch network in Colorado, growing presence in Arizona, and trusted community relationships make it an ideal partner for PNC."
