WAIALUA (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Oahu’s North Shore Monday afternoon.
The crash happened at around 5:24 p.m. on Farrington Highway.
According to police, a 28-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Farrington Highway when he broadsided a 35-year-old male motorist and his 29-year-old male passenger traveling in the southbound direction.
Police said the 28-year-old motorcyclist was executing a left turn into Mokuleia Beach Park when he was struck.
HPD said he was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
EMS transported the 28-year-old to hospital in critical condition where he later died from his injuries.
Police said he was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
