OMAHA, Neb. —
Most of the construction at two new Elkhorn schools is on schedule to wrap up in October.
The landscaping and sod at Stone Pointe Elementary are the only features behind schedule, "which, pending weather, we hope to have mostly completed this week," said Ryan Lindquist with the district's business support services.
Since Aug. 12, classes at Stone Pointe and Iron Bluff elementary schools have been in session. But that brought concerns for parents after the city of Omaha found the schools violated city code .

Playgrounds at Iron Bluff Elementary are about two to three weeks ahead of schedule according to Lindquist.
"So, it was fun, as we took these pictures today, to see kids out playing on the playground," he told board members.
