Coronation Street has left its fans in shock after Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) was dramatically revealed to be alive, sparking speculation among viewers that another familiar face could soon make a surprise appearance in Weatherfield, much to the astonishment of Carla and Lisa.

In Monday's episode of the ITV soap (8 September), Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) celebrated her 18th birthday, but the festivities took a tragic turn when she saw Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) being hit by a car.

Joined by Carla Connor (Alison King), Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) rushed from the house to find Betsy and was relieved to find her safe, while Tyrone lay motionless on the road. The car swerved at the last second, missing Betsy but hitting Tyrone, leaving him in a critical condition.
