JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The people of Jerome County also haven’t forgotten, as they honor those who died on 9/11 by displaying flags along U.S. 93 at 5 Crossroads Point Boulevard.
For 20 years, Crossroads Point has maintained this annual tradition. The display covers around two and a half acres with a total of 3 thousand flags, one for each man and woman who died on that tragic day.
Dozens of volunteers arrived at Crossroads Point on Monday afternoon to help set up the flags, including the Jerome High School Football Team. The memorial will remain in place until September 15th.
If you plan to visit, it’s encouraged to walk through the flag field to get the full experience.
