MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Memphis Zoo will host a celebration for the expansion of the Free Tennessee Tuesday program, according to a press release from the Shelby County Board of Commissioners.

It will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. today.

The expansion of the program was made possible by a $1.5 million investment from the board of commissioners, the press release said.

And every Tuesday after today, year-round, Tennessee residents can attend the zoo for free.
