When tunneling will begin for Music City Loop in Nashville & more questions answered by Elon Musk’s company

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - How long has the Music City Loop been in discussion? When will construction begin? How do people use the loop?

While many Nashvillians have questions about the Music City Loop Project, Elon Musk’s The Boring Company has updated its website to answer many of those questions.

At last update, The Boring Company was in the design phase of constructing the tunnel that’s set to connect downtown Nashville to the Nashville International Airport.

In a recent update, the company reported that while the planning phase continues, it’s targeting late 2025 for tunneling to begin.

So, where will the tunnel be? One opening for the tunnel would be right outside the State Capitol, with three more stops that could be added on the way to BNA.
