UK households are being warned of the rules around painting your side of a neighbour's fence.

Many of us enjoy a friendly chat with neighbours over the garden fence. However, those very same fences can sometimes become a source of disputes - particularly when one neighbour erects a fence that affects how the other uses their property.

Thankfully, there are rules in place around putting up a fence. For instance, you cannot construct a fence beyond a specific height.

Even if your neighbour stays well within these regulations when installing a fence, you may still be unhappy with how it affects your garden and view.
