CAMDEN, Maine (WABI) - A $5,000 reward is being offered for the apprehension of those involved in vandalizing parking meters throughout Camden.
According to the town, a skate park and other public areas were also vandalized between 3 to 4 Monday morning.
They say most of the 30 meters were spray-painted with pink hearts, and spray foam was put into the card reader and receipt slots.
They say several businesses caught a suspect on camera who, at one point, was on a bicycle.
The town expects it will be able to fix this damage.
They say the money from the meters helps ease property tax burdens.
Anyone with information on the matter is asked to call Detective Sergeant Aaron Bailey with Camden Police at 236-7953 extension 113.
